The majestic waterfall is located in central Bosnia, in the center of the town of Jajce, at the place where the Pliva river comes down spectacularly into the Vrbas river. This is a 20 meters drop and This cascade of the Pliva River is the most beautiful proof that nature is the “greatest artist”. Nature has magnificently taken care to protect this pearl of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Namely, tufa is protected by the growth of moss and resists water wear. The interlaced lights that illuminate the falls in the deep night make for a glorious scene. The jewel of Jajce, in all 4 seasons shines in divine splendor. The famous confluence of Pliva and Vrbas is surrounded by medium-high mountains (Hum, Bukovica, Dnolučka planina, Kik, Ranche and Ćusine).

Not so long ago, in one second Pliva “submerged” Vrbas with 40 cubic meters of water per second. The waterfall had to be reconstructed and improved in order to preserve it and now that number is 3 cubic meters of water per second. After rehabilitation, the waterfall became suitable for holding a sensational competition of diving from the top of the waterfall all the way down into Vrbas river.. The traditional diving competition takes place every year in August.. This event attracts an increasing number of spectators as well as competitors. Every year, there are domestic, but also competitors from neighboring countries: Croatia, Serbia and Slovenia. This natural phenomenon leaves no one indifferent, so every year there is an increasing number of foreign visitors who simply cannot resist this unique sight.
